Description
Rasmonir swaggo:
The drama “RASMONIR SWAGGA” ( Heaven of Rasmoni ) intends to depict the story of an upright lady belonging to a lower caste and engaged in a job not so common for women. In the process the drama reveals how she becomes a victim of the social peril in her endeavour to raise voice against an unlawful practice prevailing in the society.
Drohaparba:
The drama “Drohaparba” (Phase of rebellion), depicts the struggle of a modern lady for justice after being assaulted and molested by some strangers. The Police Department ridicules her, the legal authority does not show any ray of hope, the politicians try either to avoid her or to blame her only for the harassment. The drama relates her helplessness with that of Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas, when she was humiliated by the Kauravas in the court of Hastinapur, as described in the Mahabharata. Draupadi’s appeals to the Pandavas for taking revenge against the Kauravas were in vain. The Pandavas fought in the Battle of Kurukshetra because the Kauravas refused the proposal of peace. Draupadi’s humiliation was not the deciding factor. In the end the lady decides to protest in her own unique way, which puts the society in front of a BIG QUESTION MARK.
